This should be an interesting presentation
Strengthening the Canada-India Economic Partnership!
Today, on behalf of the Board of Directors of the IndoCanada Ottawa Business Chamber (ICOBC), we had the honour of meeting His Excellency Mr. Dinesh Patnaik, High Commissioner of India to Canada, at the High Commission of India in Ottawa.
We shared our view that the Canada-India economic partnership is entering a defining phase - one that requires deeper institutional collaboration and practical, outcomes‑focused business engagement.
Founded in 2014, ICOBC serves as a credible bridge between Canadian and Indian businesses. Our members operate at the intersection of business and public institutions, engaging regularly with policymakers and national organizations.
This gives us both perspective and responsibility to help convert opportunity into measurable economic results.
During the discussion, the Board reaffirmed its commitment to:
🔷️ Expanding bilateral trade and investment
🔷️ Strengthening export readiness and India‑focused market access
🔷️ Building a startup and youth innovation corridor
🔷️ Advancing governance excellence and responsible business practices
🔷️ Supporting SMEs through technology, commercialization, and growth
🔷️ Promoting long‑term wealth creation and sustainable enterprises
We expressed strong interest in working closely with the High Commission - from business forums and trade delegations to initiatives aligned with India’s economic priorities in Canada.
Professionally governed and non‑partisan, ICOBC remains committed to transparency, partnership, and long‑term impact.
A meaningful dialogue.
A shared vision. Important work ahead.
